Step into the heart of summer with Yoga in the Park, a vibrant series of outdoor wellness classes in beautiful Arnprior. Our community of local teachers, alongside friends from neighbouring areas, are coming together to offer a variety of yoga and movement practices that embrace inclusivity, accessibility, and most importantly: fun!

Whether you're looking to meet kindred spirits, flow with the rhythm of nature, or simply enjoy the peaceful joy of wellness, these classes are open to you, no matter where you are in your journey.

The best part? These classes are free, thanks to the incredible support of our community sponsors and fundraisers!

Come lean into connection, learning, and pure enjoyment, surrounded by the beauty of Robert Simpson Park. Just a short 20-minute drive from Kanata or 40 minutes from Downtown Ottawa, and yes—right by the beach. It’s the perfect place to pause, breathe, and share space with others.

A class designed with cycles of poses to allow you to tune in to your body's natural rhythms and move in a way that feels good for you. Expect smooth transitions, time to play and explore, and a curated playlist for the best vibes.

This class offers a meditative and deeply restorative experience, focusing on long-held Yin Yoga postures to target the connective tissues, joints, and meridians of the body. A flow dedicated to honouring the connection and community that is present when we come together in this amazing event. The practice will be both challenging, and accessible, with an invitation to open your heart and connect, breath and move.

Experience a dynamic balance between the energetic "Yang" and restorative "Yin" practices. The class will begin with invigorating, muscle-building postures to activate the body, followed by long-held, deep stretches aimed at cultivating flexibility and mindfulness. Participants can expect:

This full-body functional foundations strength workout is designed for participants of all levels. The class highlights compound functional movements that are essential in daily life, helping individuals improve their overall strength and mobility.

A steady but strong flow that builds heat and awareness through full-body engagement. We will move in creative sequencing that challenges the core and stabilizers, followed by calm and controlled stretching to reset.

This all-levels salsa class will have you moving + grooving from the tips of your toes to the top of your head. We will start by moving and connecting with the basic rhythm.This vibrant class will light up your heart and let it pour through your steps.

With an emphasis on mindfulness, experience a yoga practice that nurtures kindness and compassion. Participants are invited to feel empowered to move at their own pace, in rhythm with slow deep intentional breaths; "the journey is all yours."

VINYASA FLOW

A dynamic sequence built around the rhythm of sun salutations, emphasizing mindful movement and breath. Each sequence leads to a peak pose and ends with a deeply relaxing guided shavasana.

A focus on finding and exploring the space we make in our bodies as we stretch and breathe. Gentle music will hold us through the deep stretches and guide us gently through a slow Vinyasa flow with the hope of establishing a balance and allowing the body and mind to subtly unfold and unwind.
