Mat Pilates
Training Program
The Union Mat Pilates Teacher Training Program blends technical precision, critical thinking, social awareness, and lived experience, preparing you to teach Pilates in a way that is accessible, culturally aware and grounded in real life.
You won’t just learn what to teach, you’ll deepen your own understanding of why you want to teach and how to support your teaching across bodies, identities, environments, and capacities.
We recognize that everybody learns from different lenses. Some people need to see it or feel it. Some need to teach it out loud and need to question it first.
So we use layered teaching methods including:
Practical labs
Learning breakdowns
Peer teaching and support
Case study discussions
Guided observation
Reflective journaling
Real-life teaching scenarios
Feedback circles
Community dialogue
We blend technical precision with embodied exploration. We pair science with lived experience. We create space for curiosity alongside structure.
Yes, we follow a detailed curriculum AND real learning happens when you’re invited, not when you’re expected to perform.
